Aquatics: Lifeguard  (Part Time)
Location: Groton

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & OVERVIEW:The Lifeguard performs lifeguard duties at the pool, may assist with other aquatic or beach programs and activities, and assists in the maintenance of facilities.  Knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to pool safety; understanding of standard lifeguard practices and ability to perform various prevention and rescue techniques; strong swimming ability; required certifications include Lifeguard by American Red Cross or comparable standards, First  Aid, CPR; ability to accept direction and to develop and maintain respect and discipline from the general public and ability to develop a cooperative relationship with associates. Part-time position, up to 10 hours/week to include weekends.  Starting rate: $16.00/hour; position range: $16.00-$16.50/hr.  Review of applications with best qualified candidates eligible for interview.  Position open until filled.
