The 988 Crisis Call Center at BH Link is hiring a program manager who is dedicated to supporting an innovative program that makes a positive impact on the lives of Rhode Island community members! The 988 Call Center provides crisis answering services – responding to calls, chats, and texts from individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use crises.

This call center is connected to the BH Link – Rhode Island’s walk-in behavioral health crisis center. As such, 988 Crisis Counselors can assist service recipients in facilitating entry to BH Link, to be seen in person by an experienced clinical team that provides comprehensive assessment and referral services. The 988 Crisis Call Center also coordinates with local mobile crisis response teams, dispatching available mobile crisis clinicians to the community in order to meet people where they are. The services provided emphasize client-driven care in the least restrictive possible settings.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Serving as an active member of BH Link’s leadership team.

- Taking direction from BH Link Co-Directors and the VP of CCA’s Acute Services division.

-Collaborating with the executive leadership team of Horizon Healthcare Partners (HHP) and designated administrators of BHDDH.

- Coordinating with external partners and providers (including 911 dispatch, local municipalities, CHCs, CMHCs, etc.)

- Working closely with BH Link’s data team in order to meet data metric and reporting requirements identified in the program’s scope of work.

- Providing direct supervision and oversight to 988 Clinical Supervisors and the 988 administrative team.

- Routinely review program policies and procedures to ensure they are aligned with standards set by licensing and accrediting bodies.

- Ensure that training and orientation processes are congruent with guidance set by federal and state partners.

- Engage regularly in evaluative practices that are informed by program metrics and best practices.

- Ensuring 24/7 staffing coverage of the 988 Crisis Call Center, in coordination with 988 clinical supervisors and the 988 Community Network Coordinator.

- Organizing scenario debriefings with 988 call center staff and external partners.

- Reviewing call center documentation and metrics to ensure quality of 988 call center services.

-Submitting critical incident reports documented by 988 Crisis Counselors.

- Facilitating the training and supervision of 988 Crisis Counselors.

ACT - Peer Specialist  (Full Time and Part Time)

A Peer Specialist for our Assertive Community Treatment Team(ACT) is needed to provide a bridge between providers and adults with serious mental illness. Peer Specialist will assist in facilitating the care and well-being of those adults while working in a multidisciplinary team.  The right candidate will have lived experience with behavioral health issues, the ability to work and communicate effectively, and an outgoing and engaging personality to connect with individuals. Your role will be to share your lived experience of mental illness and/or addiction and serve as a role model for peers; educate peers about self-help techniques and effective coping strategies, sometimes based on personal experience; help peers clarify goals for rehabilitation and recovery; and help peers develop natural support systems.

ACT Case Manager  (Full Time)

Our Assertive Community Treatment Team is looking for a Case Manager who has experience working in the substance abuse and mental health field. You will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary team to help people avoid crisis situations and to keep crises from turning into unnecessary hospitalizations. ACT is designed to help those individuals who are struggling with serious and persistent mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse disorders that may need more than the traditional outpatient mental health care and psychiatric rehabilitation more intensive services. As the Case Manager will provide comprehensive community support to those individuals living in their homes. Your role will be to help stabilize individuals by assessing and evaluating all clients on an ongoing basis, provide support services and/or crisis intervention as needed, develop, design and implement treatment goals/plan with the client to promote the individual's recovery. In addition, collaborate with community resources while promoting recovery, improving their mental health and rehabilitation. This is a full time position with benefits.

Education/Licensing Requirements: BA/BSW in a human services related field required. Knowledge of substance abuse and mental health is a plus. ACT Master’s Level Clinician/Assistant Team Manager  (Full Time)

Currently seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Team Leader for our ACT Team. This position shares in a leadership role managing a multi-disciplinary team that includes case managers, specialists, nurses and clinicians. Co-Leads in the development of comprehensive health service plans, participates in the daily organizational and treatment /service planning meetings, and monitors client responses to health management and prevention activities.  Working in collaboration with the team leader, ACT staff and other staff personnel to ensure the clinical and administrative duties of the team promote effective treatment to clients. 

 

Additional duties include providing counseling and case management services to psychiatrically disabled adults and their families in order to maintain and improve their level of functioning in the community. 

 

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED: 

 

· Master’s degree in a human service-related field required.

· Two years of experience in a community mental health center preferred.

ACT Vocational Specialist  (Full Time)

 The ACT Team is conducting a search for a full time Vocational Specialist to begin immediately. ACT is a program to help individuals avoid crisis situations and to keep crises from turning into unnecessary hospitalizations.  BH Link is looking for a highly motivated and outgoing individual to join our Mobile Crisis Assessment Stabilization Team (MCAST) as a Per Diem Mobile Clinician.  BH Link is a 24/7 behavioral health crisis and triage center which provides individuals who are 18 and older with an array of services including crisis assessments, referrals to additional resources, and coordination of care with outside providers.

The MCAST model is centered on community outreach and assessment facilitated by a mobile team which includes a Masters Level Clinician and an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).

 

Education and Licensing Requirements:

Applicant must have a master’s degree in the human service field with at least 1 year of experience working within a behavioral health, inpatient, or acute care setting.  Knowledge of trauma informed care is a plus.

BH Link Prescriber - PER DIEM  (Per Diem)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide psychiatric assessments and medication prescribing services to clients of the BH Link. Prescriber will coordinate client care services as a member of the BH Link treatment team. Care Coordination Specialist- per diem  (Per Diem)

The BH Link is searching for enthusiastic professionals who are looking to make a positive impact in the Rhode Island community! The BH Link is a 24/7 triage facility providing assessment and referral services for adults experiencing mental health and/or substance use crises. The role of the Care Coordination Specialist will be to constantly coordinate with the BH Link team to determine and address program needs, transitioning seamlessly between multiple roles.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

-Working on site and throughout the various areas and roles of the BH Link program.

- Attending all required staff meetings and trainings.

- Completing all required documentation.

- Practicing effective communication and coordination with the rest of BH Link’s clinical team.

- Engaging with clients in a warm and welcoming manner through the continuity of care.

- Working with program supervisors to identify areas of need within the program throughout the shift, attending to a number of responsibilities, such as:

- Screening client walk-ins to the BH Link Triage facility.

- Assisting clients in the completion of intake paperwork.

- Facilitating client belonging checks and securing items in waiting room lockers as appropriate.

The Healthy Transitions team at Community Care Alliance is currently seeking a Bachelor’s Level Case Manager to provide trauma-informed services throughout the Northern RI communities of Woonsocket, Lincoln, Cumberland, North Smithfield, and Burrillville. Healthy Transitions (HT) team members are a motivated, flexible, diverse group of staff who strive to maintain a genuine understanding of the unique needs of our program participants. HT program participants are young people (16-25 years old) who struggle with serious emotional/ mental health concerns & co-occurring disorders, who have not typically benefitted from “traditional models” of treatment and services. Priority populations for HT programming include youth who have previously experienced residential placement/ youth “aging-out” of the foster care system and young people experiencing their “First Episode of Psychosis” (FEP). The HT case manager works closely with the program Clinicians, Nurse, Recovery/ Substance Use Specialist, and Psychiatrist to provide holistic services that address a variety of biopsychosocial factors impacting each participant’s mental health, well-being, and recovery.

In an effort to provide relevant supports and change the life trajectories of HT participants, Healthy Transitions staff will utilize a variety of team-based treatment modalities to deliver innovative, individualized services, including Coordinated Specialty Care for First Episode Psychosis, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Included in the program outcomes are changes in current State policies for transition services for young adults.

The ideal candidate has the ability to engage effectively with participants as well as their families, has experience in the mental health field, a general understanding of the agencies and systems that serve young people, and a genuine desire to work with young adults. Case manager must have excellent time management and organizational skills, and the ambition to take on tasks and responsibilities to enhance program quality and efficiency. Individual will have the ability to communicate effectively with team members on a daily basis, is competent in teaching life skills and coping strategies to young people in both individual and group settings, the ability to maintain a somewhat flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the program participants, including occasional evenings and weekends.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

Meet with all new hires with credentials or in the process of credentialing in order to get paperwork and licensure filed/requested with all insurance and funding sources.

Work with finance to ensure all specified monetary increases/bonuses for employees with new credential qualifications are processed in a timely manner.

Adhere to the credentialing requirements of all insurance/funding sources for which they qualify and provide Human Resources with the initial required documentation (licenses, liability insurance policies, DEA numbers etc.) and all renewals of these documents thereafter.

Act as liaison between staff and insurance companies with regards to all credentialing correspondence.

Work with billing team to ensure proper reimbursements are in place.

Maintain up to date copies of staff licenses, certifications, DEA’s, malpractice insurance and other provider information for credentialing and licensing.

Attend Billing Team meetings to discuss any credentialing changes, updates or issues.

Provide useful reports for management to be able to track where their staff are in the credentialing process

 

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:

Weekly dedicated time for filing of confidential employee documentation into personnel files.

Assist HR team with tasks and projects possibly including Open Enrollment, career fairs, etc.

Participate on Training Committee and work to support CEU processing.

Crisis Phone Screener - BH Link  (Full Time)

Seeking a 1st , 2nd   and 3rd  shift Crisis Phone Screener to answer phones at our BH Link site.  As the Phone Screener you will provide phone crisis intervention and link clients to appropriate services.  The qualified individual must possess good communication skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.  There will be other program responsibilities as assigned.  A full training program will be provided for this position.  The Crisis Center is a 24/7 behavioral health crisis and triage center which provides Rhode Islander's with immediate assessment and referral services. The program is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team which consists of RN's, Psychiatry, master's level counselors, case managers, peer specialists and phone screeners. The program also operates a 24/7 suicide hotline as well. The mobile crisis unit is a program transit van which is available to crisis center staff to provide community home visits when needed.

The FCCP is a family preservation program. Services are provided by community agencies and funded by DCYF. We provide service to any youth/family with child under the age of 18. Services are intended to address risk for involvement with DCYF or law enforcement. The program can assist with navigating services to address developmental, behavioral, and social problems, as well as families who are at risk for abuse or neglect.

The Youth Specific Family Support Partner acts as a peer mentor to youth and a support to families. As a member of the Wraparound team, this youth support partner will help them to navigate systems, access resources, and connect to natural supports. Candidates must have lived experience with youth services or equivalent youth related work.

This position is Youth Specific Support. For youth referred for Wayward or Youth Diversion, weekly contact with the youth is required. This support partner will mentor youth, spending time with youth building rapport, building skills or completing tasks to address needs and goals identified by the FCCP plan. Youth specific FSP would also coordinate with the Care Coordinator and other team members, especially parents, to address barriers and communication issues.

 

The Youth Specific Family Support Partner works under and receives regular direction (weekly supervision) from a program Clinical Supervisor or designee, according to the Agency’s mission and philosophy, Program, and Division goals. This staff also works closely with direct service staffers to maintain schedules appropriately and coordinate with other Family Visiting programs when multi program referrals are made. Clerical duties include filing, mailings, copying, organizing billing documentation for data entry and other administration tasks as required.

Community Care Alliance is seeking APRNs certified in psych and mental health to provide mental health assessment and medication management to assigned adults with serious mental illness in our community support program located in our Woonsocket office building.  The APRN (psych/MH) participates in treatment planning meetings with team members and coordinates care with treatment. The APRN will have ongoing access to prescriber consultation by peer APRNs and Psychiatrists.  

The ideal candidate will have experience in community mental health services as well as possess the ability to participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.  Experience with substance use population is preferred. 

These positions do NOT work: weekends, evenings, holidays, or on call.

Relief Residential Treatment Workers  (Per Diem)
Location: Various - Rhode Island

Provide case management services to residents in accordance with the client's individual treatment plan, goals, philosophy, and standards defined by the agency.  Continually assess and evaluate clients, providing support services, crisis intervention, medication monitoring and education on as-needed basis.   As a Case Manager you will educate clients, their families and significant others regarding mental health issues, substance abuse and the impact on their lives.  Facilitate referrals to primary health care providers and specialty care providers (health and behavioral health) in the community as well as within the agency and provide support as necessary.  This is a full-time position with benefits.
