ACT Case Manager/Vocational Specialist  (Full Time)
Location: Woonsocket, RI

The ACT Team is conducting a search for a full time Case Manager/Vocational Specialist. ACT is a program to help individuals avoid crisis situations and to keep crises from turning into unnecessary hospitalizations. The multidisciplinary team is designed to provide comprehensive community support to those individuals living in the community. The team works with individuals who are struggling with serious and persistent mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse disorders that may need more than the traditional outpatient mental health care and psychiatric rehabilitation services more intensive support. 

 

As a Specialist you will focus on vocational assessment, job development, coaching, and engagement. Your role will also include creating treatment plans with clients, attending team meetings, and collaborating with community providers regarding clients’ needs. This position is looking for an individual who can work independently, but also as a team player! Prior experience in employment services is preferred. Also looking for a candidate who has previous experience working in the mental health or substance abuse field.

ACT Psychiatric RN  (Full Time)

Acute Services Counselor  (Full Time)
Location: Providence,RI

The Acute Stabilization Counselor is an integral part of our Acute Stabilization Unit (ASU) in Providence.  This crisis service and hospital diversion or step-down program provides a relaxing, protected and supervised non-hospital setting.  You will work in a multi-disciplinary team in the assessment and initial treatment-planning phase for program clients. Providing clinical case management and group treatment services to identified clients experiencing psychiatric and/or substance abuse problems.  Holistic group approaches utilized such as meditative exercise, smoothie/nutritional groups, music, art, etc. The right candidate will have experience working with and treating co-occurring/substance abuse populations. The Counselor will coordinate discharge-planning, serve as a liaison to community mental health centers and transition identified clients into appropriate after-care services. Must have a minimum of six months of community mental health experience.  Position is 1st and 2nd shift. One day, every other weekend. 

  

Education and Licensing Requirements: BA, BSW or AD required. Will train for LCDP license.

Agape Woon Peer Support Specialist  (Part Time)
Location: Woonsocket, RI

AgapeWoonsocket has over 25 years of serving individuals living with HIV/AIDS in a compassionate and confidential manner.  We are looking for an individual with lived experience with HIV/AIDS (preferred) or another chronic health issue.  The Peer Specialist works with Agape case managers to support the client in adjusting to a new diagnosis and living a full life.  This includes meeting one on one, small group activities (when COVID safe), understanding medical recommendations, how to talk to others about the diagnosis, accessing safe sex supplies and encouraging active engagement in care.

Behavioral Health Worker- ASU  (Full Time)
Location: Providence,RI

If you are interested in gaining experience working in the mental health and substance abuse field we have the perfect position for you! Our Acute Stabilization Unit in Providence is looking for a candidate to work as a Behavioral Health Worker/CNA.  This is a 3 day work week, 36 hour position. The unit works from a trauma informed care practice model. Our program has qualified staff that are trained to realize the widespread impact of trauma, recognize signs/symptoms, respond with knowledge, and seek to resist re-traumatization. You would be responsible for ensuring patient safety, demonstrating professional behavior, and keeping established rules/protocols while maintaining patient dignity. As the Behavioral Health Worker/ CNA you will also be responsible for assisting in treatment groups and activities on the unit.

You would be exchanging pertinent client information to team members and working under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and Program Manager. Must have excellent written and communication skills and the ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment. Being safety focused, detail oriented, and the ability to respond to emergencies or crises is an important aspect of this position.

 

Education/Licensing Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required.  Associate's degree in Human Services or attending school in a Human Services discipline. Certified Nursing Assistants with the right experience in Human Services and current CNA students or college students are encouraged to apply!

Case Manager- Homelessness Prevention Team  (Part Time)
Location: Woonsocket, RI

Children's Behavioral Health Emergency Services Clinician  (Full Time)
Location: Woonsocket, RI

CCA is seeking a qualified and motivated candidate for their Child Emergency Services Clinician position within their Children's Behavioral Health Team. In this position, the clinician will conduct assessments of children who are at-risk of hospitalization or out of home placement and provide therapeutic support to children and their families. Individuals interested in this position must have comprehensive knowledge of trauma-informed care, risk-management, safety planning, and a general passion and care for working with families in need. The clinician will assess clients at risk for higher levels of care, collaborate with the Children's Behavioral Health Team and outside providers, and will link families with resources available in the community. In this role, they must complete clinical documentation in a timely manner, attend weekly clinical supervision, and participate in consultations, as needed. This position would also help shape and inform the development of community outreach and small group facilitation with local partners on best practices for supporting children/youth in crisis.  Must be eligible for LMHC, LCSW, or LICSW.

Clinical Case Manager- IFP  (Full Time)

The Intensive Family Preservation (IFP) program provides family-centered case management and care coordination in order to increase self-sufficiency, decrease the risk of abuse or neglect, achieve permanency for children, improve child well-being, and improve daily living and parenting skills. Families served have children who are at risk of being removed from the home or are currently in DCYF care. The IFP team is looking for a passionate and collaborative individual to deliver primarily home-based services to families open to RI DCYF. The ideal case manager for the IFP program values team-based work, a positive work atmosphere, and is able to manage multiple tasks, focus on family strengths, and handle crisis. Case Manager will provide services in clients’ homes, in the community, and within the agency. Provide role-modeling and education on parent-child relations, parenting skills, financial organization and family life skills. Establish and maintain professional relationships with consumers and colleagues. 

 

Education/Licensing Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree in social work, human development or related field, and/or relevant experience, plus demonstrated competence. Ability to work independently and within a team framework. Openness to ongoing supervision, training, and personal and professional development. If you are a Master’s Level Clinician with either an LICSW or an LMHC, then we have a position for you in our Community Support Program. You can change the lives of those adults experiencing mental illness and substance abuse related issues to live independently within the community by providing individual, couples, family, and group counseling. To help individuals and their families, to maintain and improve their level of functioning in all aspects of their lives by educating clients, their families and significant others re: mental health, substance abuse and the impact of one upon the other. Preferred experience in community mental health services. Candidate should demonstrate a high level of skills in engaging a diverse population, good clinical skills, and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team. Provide intensive psychotherapy services to persistently mentally ill clients. These services are provided mainly in the clinical setting. MLC will be expected to provide individual, couples and family psychotherapy as well as design and facilitate psychoeducational and support groups. The MLC will provide clinical leadership to team leaders and case managers across the Community Support and Residential Teams. MLC can be called upon to complete records reviews, behavioral contracts and other clinically appropriate administrative duties. Attendance at various staffing’s is also expected. Assess and evaluate all clients on an ongoing basis. Experience with electronic health records.

Clinician - Substance Use  (Full Time)

Clinician needed on our Assertive Community Treatment Team to help those individuals who are struggling with serious and persistent mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse disorders. Peer Specialist- Crisis Services East Providence  (Full Time)

The Behavioral Health Link is a 24/7 behavioral health crisis and triage center partnering Community Care Alliance and Horizon Health Partners.  The program is hiring a Peer Specialist to work full-time to provide support and assistance to clients of the BH Link, Crisis Center. They also will provide phone support, and accompany clients to post crisis center appointments when appropriate.  Good communication skills a must.  The Behavioral Health Link will provide Rhode Islander's with immediate assessment and referral services. The program is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team which consists of RN's, Psychiatry, master's level counselors, case managers, peer specialists and phone screeners. The program also operates a 24/7 suicide hotline as well. The mobile crisis unit is a program transit van which is available to crisis center staff to provide community home visits when needed.

Become an integral part of our Family Wellness Team as a Peer Specialist in our grant funded program titled, “Promoting the Integration of Primary and Behavioral Healthcare (PIPBHC).” This program works with children and their families, adult members of families with children and those who are currently experiencing or at risk for substance use disorder and/or co-morbid physical and mental health conditions.  

The Peer Specialist will help support clients in their recovery from substance use disorders and co-occurring physical and mental health issues using a trauma informed and person centered approach. This candidate acts as a peer mentor in the community, within the multidisciplinary PIPBHC team, helping families to navigate systems, access resources, and connect to natural supports. You will be required to collaborate with other team members along with primary and specialty health providers.

Relief Residential Treatment Workers  (Per Diem)
Location: Various - Rhode Island

Seeking to enhance our pool of per diem workers at various locations throughout Northern RI. We are able to offer FLEXIBLE hours during 1st, 2nd, 3rd and weekend shifts (this includes mother's hours). First and second shifts are $13 and $14 per hour, depending on location. Third shift, overnight awake positions, are $15 an hour, the Pascoag group is $17 per hour.

Programs are looking for Residential Per Diem Workers to assist in providing case management services to adult residents in our Residential & Supported Housing programs. These positions assess and evaluate clients on an ongoing basis, providing support services and/or crisis intervention as needed. In this position you will also assist clients in medication monitoring and education, conduct security checks on each room on an hourly basis, and other administrative duties as needed.

Our residential program in Pascoag is in need of an Awake Overnight Treatment Worker to provide case management services. Transportation Specialist - NRIVC  (Part Time)

Families are able to have supervised visits in a home-like setting while receiving support in their recovery. The Transportation Specialist provides transportation to and from supervised visits with biological families for children in out-of-home placements. Our Acute Stabilization Unit in Providence is looking for a candidate to work as Treatment Assistant/CNA. The Acute Stabilization Unit at Providence works from a trauma informed care practice model. This model works to realize the widespread impact of trauma, recognize signs/symptoms of trauma, respond to trauma with knowledge, and seeks to resist re-traumatization. You would be responsible for ensuring patient safety, demonstrating professional behavior, and keeping established rules/protocols while maintaining patient dignity. Treatment Assistant/ CNA will also be responsible for assisting in treatment groups and activities on the unit.

You would be exchanging pertinent client information to team members and working under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and the Program Manager. Candidate must have excellent written and communication skills, ability to handle crises, and ability to multi-task while working in a fast paced environment. Being safety focused, having attention to detail, and being able to respond to emergencies or crisis is an important aspect of this position.

Youth Workforce Specialist  (Full Time)

The Youth Workforce Specialist will provide vocational training, financial literacy classes and employment support to youth referred from the Youth Development Service Program.   The Specialist will facilitate a supportive and helping relationship to youth and introduce them to other services offered through CAP programs.  We are looking for a candidate who has a good sense of humor, one who exhibits strong leadership qualities, ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations, and can speak effectively before groups, other agencies and employees.   In this role you will collaborate with other CAP programs and administration to ensure that coordination of services run smoothly.  The Youth Workforce Specialist will conduct comprehensive intakes and assessments on participants, provide instruction in youth daily living skills, employment goals, behavior management, stress management and parenting. 

Will also attend training and development sessions in Positive Youth Development, trauma informed approaches, permanency needs of youth and other relevant topics.  Participates in center-based youth advisory board meetings, attends regular supervision and team meetings, and engages in all agency public relations activities.  You may also assist youth with completing applications for emergency funding, housing, utility assistance, medical and state benefits and other applications for clients as needed.  Keeping accurate and current documentation is critical in this position.  Experience and knowledge of child development, emergency intervention methods, family dynamics, health and mental healthcare systems and case management skills are strongly preferred.
