Job Duties:

· Work in conjunction with local high schools to coordinate credit recovery education for youth. Coordinator will work in a remote office in the local high school and in our drop-in youth center.

· Coordinate opportunities for students to explore post-secondary options, career building, and career trades programs.

· Create and facilitate engaging and educational curriculums. Work in conjunction with education department heads for credit recovery outcomes and expectations.

· Track participant engagement and outcomes. Create and maintain case files for all clients on a timely basis.

· Works well individually and as part of the team to meet all program and funding benchmarks including recruitment, skill attainment, attendance, etc.

· Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with community and state agencies as well as local colleges and universities.

· Strong focus on essential skills building and workforce development skills for clients.

· Applicant needs to be a highly energetic and organized individual that works on the ground with youth daily.

· Work individually and in groups with clients and provide case management and follow-up services.

· Work with the school to identify students that would benefit from services.

· Promote leadership development, workforce development skills and employability goals for clients.

Within this role you will be responsible for managing a multi-disciplinary team. We are looking for candidates that have 2-3 years solid community based experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness, demonstrate leadership capabilities, excellent oral and written communication skills and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment serving a population with complex bio-psychosocial needs. Successful candidates must also be able to work within a systems context collaborating with internal Community Care Alliance programs as well as other community providers. You must also have training and experience with providing supervision, case management, crisis intervention, advocacy, counseling, consultation, substance abuse treatment, health education and other supportive services.

Acute Services Counselor - Providence  (Full Time)
Location: Providence,RI

The Acute Stabilization Counselor is an integral part of our Acute Stabilization Unit (ASU) in Providence.  This crisis service and hospital diversion or step-down program provides a relaxing, protected and supervised non-hospital setting.  You will work in a multi-disciplinary team in the assessment and initial treatment-planning phase for program clients. Providing clinical case management and group treatment services to identified clients experiencing psychiatric and/or substance abuse problems.  Holistic group approaches utilized such as meditative exercise, smoothie/nutritional groups, music, art, etc. The right candidate will have experience working with and treating co-occurring/substance abuse populations. The Counselor will coordinate discharge-planning, serve as a liaison to community mental health centers and transition identified clients into appropriate after-care services. Must have a minimum of six months of community mental health experience.

Administrative Assistant  (Full Time)

This position is responsible for providing day to day administrative services in support of the department’s numerous staff, clients and community partners, as well as attending to the Center’s general operational needs.  1. Major Responsibility: General administrative support.

 

Supporting Actions: Responsible for answering the main phone line, directing callers and visitors to the appropriate person or project, handling all maintenance requests, phone and voice mail set up and troubleshooting, and classroom scheduling. Schedule meetings and trainings, transcribe meeting minutes, oversee and schedule the use of the classrooms and monitor the use of the audiovisual equipment. Responsible for ordering office supplies, overseeing building maintenance work orders and reporting of security issues. Maintain telephone and email communication with clients, community partners, internal staff and employers when needed. Work with staff to obtain monthly news updates for website and social media platforms. Work with Youth Services Manager and staff to manage various databases and do data entry, run reports and track program outcome progress.

 

 

2. Major Responsibility: Serve as Center’s front desk representative.

 

Supporting Actions: Greet participants in a professional manner and direct them to the appropriate program staff. Enter all visitors in center’s youth participant tracking log. Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls and respond to emails to the requesting information. Coordinate membership applications, corresponding documents and database entries.

 

3. Major Responsibility: Serve as primary coordinator of various program databases

 

Supporting Actions: Work with various staff to enter all member ship application data into client database and generate a client number and client file. Work with Youth Services Manager and other staff to enter appropriate data into various databases and run program reports. Utilize databases to track program outcomes and client success rates.

Typical job duties include:

Responsible for collecting and analyzing data. Working with clients to educate individuals on becoming economically self-sufficient.  Offering supportive counseling and advocacy to clients and their families, providing resume building, how to conduct a job search, and best practice interviewing workshops.  We are looking for a strong advocate who is interested in supporting client’s efforts to have their voice heard and to help them obtain the services they need to help them become self-sufficient.

Behavior Interventionist  (Full Time)

Behavioral Health Program Development Manager  (Full Time)
Location: Providence,RI

Seeking a self-motivated and organized Behavioral Health Program Development Manager to work in our busy Acute Services division.  

 


 

The Program Development Manager will work closely with the Vice President of Acute Services on a variety of projects and provide administrative support across the various programs of CCA's Acute Services division. Roles and responsibilities will include:

 

  • Coordinating with various departments of CCA, including fiscal and human resources.
  • Grant writing and program development.
  • Coordinating with program leadership in the completion of routine reporting, including CCBHC annual and quarterly reports.
  • Coordination of active contracts and assuring compliance to scope of work and payment schedules.
  • Networking with outside agencies on a variety of projects and initiatives.
  • Providing general administrative support to programs across the Acute Services division, as needed.

As the Behavioral Health Worker/ CNA you will also be responsible for assisting in treatment groups and activities on the unit.

You would be exchanging pertinent client information to team members and working under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and Program Manager. Must have excellent written and communication skills and the ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment. Being safety focused, detail oriented, and the ability to respond to emergencies or crises is an important aspect of this position.

The MCAST model is centered on community outreach and assessment facilitated by a mobile team which includes a Masters Level Clinician and an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).

Applicant must have a master’s degree in the human service field with at least 1 year of experience working within a behavioral health, inpatient, or acute care setting.  Knowledge of trauma informed care is a plus.

Case Manager - RI Works  (Full Time)
Location: Woonsocket, RI

Our Employment and Training Program is conducting a search for a full -time case manager to provide case management and care coordination services to individuals and families within the RI Works program.  As the Case Manager you will assist with resolving barriers for their progress, provide service coordination and situational counseling to RI Works clients referred for component services.  Additional duties include: perform assessments, make referrals to address needs, develop Individual Employment Plans, coordinate with DHS Employment and Career Advisor, enter data in DHS and CCA systems, provide job readiness workshops and track attendance in activities.  Case manager must have the ability to assess, engage and motivate clients to work toward financial self-sufficiency through employment at multiple locations.  May require in the future a case management/community health worker certificate- must be willing to obtain certification if required.

Case Manager - Safe Haven  (Full Time)

Case Manager- PIPBHC Family Wellness Bilingual  (Full Time)

Clinician - Children's Behavioral Health  (Full Time)

Preferred experience in community mental health services. Provide intensive psychotherapy services to persistently mentally ill clients. These services are provided mainly in the clinical setting. MLC will be expected to provide individual, couples and family psychotherapy as well as design and facilitate psychoeducational and support groups. The MLC will provide clinical leadership to team leaders and case managers across the Community Support and Residential Teams. CNA/Med Tech  (Part Time)

Evergreen, our assisted living program for adults who have experienced challenges living independently in the community, but do not need the 24-hour medical care provided by a nursing home is in need of a CNA/Med Tech. Family Service Care Coordinator- FCCP  (Full Time)

Join a committed team of professionals!  FCCP works with families who have a child with behavior issues or diagnosis, where the family is not sure how to get help.  Other families are eligible if they are at-risk for involvement with the Department.  All families are in need of assistance in navigating services or community resources that may be available to help their family and utilizing family and natural supports to overcome barriers.  The goal of FCCP is to strengthen families in becoming more self-sufficient.

The Care Coordinator is a navigator with the family, working with families in their home and in the community, collaborating with natural supports and other service providers to assist the family in identifying their needs and goals.  Must be able to address crisis issues & help to stabilize families, as well as safety-planning when needed, as well as ongoing monitoring for child safety and risk factors.  The FCCP is strength based and family driven, with the Care Coordinator conducting a strengths-based, culturally competent family needs assessment.  The ongoing work is to help the family to meet their goals while increasing their protective capacity with their children, so the children can remain with their parents.

The Care Coordinator will also meet the requirements of documentation for client records and conduct other assessment tools with the family.  The Care Coordinator will participate in Wraparound and other required trainings and become wrap certified within one year of employment.

Education/Licensing Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services field required.  Bilingual candidates encouraged!  Home visiting experience preferred.

FSC Rapid Rehousing Case Manager  (Full Time)

The Rapid Re-Housing program is seeking a case manager who works closely with enrolled clients to support individualized goals that help establish and maintain stable housing.  The case manager and clients identify appropriate resources to achieve goals and remove barriers in order to improve self-sufficiency and independence in assessing resources.  This program is designed to work with people who have been impacted by economic hardship and have become homeless. 

Responsibilities Include:

The Successful Candidate will collaborate with statewide FCCP Housing Navigators and Housing systems regarding specific vulnerable families and advocate for needed services.

Outreach Peer Recovery Specialist  (Full Time and Part Time)

The Serenity Center/Safe Haven is a thriving Recovery Community Center, providing recovery supports to individuals in the Northern RI area.  We are looking for individuals with lived experience with substance use, co-occurring mental illness, and/or homelessness who have been in recovery for at least a year.  Our members are across the spectrum of recovery, from precontemplation to maintenance.  We work with them at our two drop-in centers, through group and individual services.  This includes time in the community meeting people where they are at using a harm reduction approach.  If you are not already certified, we will support your participation in the Certification for Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) training.  Not only will you earn direct service hours you will receive both individual and group peer supervisions to assist you in developing as a professional.  You will work one-on-one with members to provide peer support, learn how to facilitate groups and participate in planning and delivering sober social events.  This is an immersive experience offering the opportunity to learn the day-to-day operations of a recovery center.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED:

 

High School diploma or equivalent. Have successfully completed and passed a Co-occurring Peer Specialist training program endorsed by BHDDH and possess (or be scheduled for next training) IC/RC state certification (CPRS). In addition, have maintained, within the last three (3) years, at least 12 months of successful full or part time paid or voluntary work experience (not necessarily consecutive) or one year post-secondary education experience totaling 24 credit hours. Relief Residential Treatment Workers  (Per Diem)

The Acute Stabilization Unit at Providence works from trauma informed care practice model. This model works to realize the widespread impact of trauma, recognize signs/symptoms of trauma, respond to trauma with knowledge, and seeks to resist re-traumatization.

Our Family Emergency Shelter is in need of a per diem Shelter Worker to work when coverage is needed.  Duties are to ensure the general safety and structure of our residents by monitoring activities as they pertain to shelter rules and policies.  Maintain general operation of the shelter, sober house and supportive housing apartments after hours by being available to clients as needed/requested.  This position will answer phones, conduct room checks, enforce rules and curfew.  A candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, maintain professional boundaries with clients, and provide crisis intervention with the support of on call staff all while preserving confidentiality. The Shelter Worker will partake in briefings in the beginning and end of shift, maintain required logs for shelter: guest sign-in, medication, maintenance, laundry money, weekend sign out and complete required documentation in a timely manner.  Must report needed repairs to supervisor, monitor property, preform maintenance chores and cleaning as assigned per shift.  Staff is also responsible for attending mandatory quarterly staff meetings and required trainings.
