A full-time Teacher is needed for our Adult Education Program in Woonsocket and Central Falls, RU.  The ideal candidate will be able to recognize students’ potentials, willing to work with a diverse population of students with various needs and committed to the mission of the agency.  Instruction includes: following and creating curriculum supporting students in setting and meeting educational goals, administering post-tests and tracking attendance data.

ACT Master's Level Clinician  (Full Time)
Location: Woonsocket, RI

If you are a Master’s Level Clinician, we have a position for you in our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT Program).  You may play a large role in impacting the lives of adults experiencing severe mental illness and substance abuse related issues.  Within this program, we work alongside a Multi-disciplinary Team to assist clients in the community by providing individual, family and group counseling services.  The role of the Master’s level clinician on the Multi-disciplinary team is to help individuals maintain and improve their level of functioning in all aspects of their lives by educating clients, their families and significant others about significant issues such as: mental health, substance abuse and the impact of one upon the other. 

Preferred experience in community mental health services.  Candidate should demonstrate a high level of skills in engaging a range of clients, good clinical skills, general knowledge of psychotherapy techniques and modalities, and ability to work alongside a multi-disciplinary team.  The preferred candidate will provide direct services to identified populations which include screening, assessment, report/record keeping, counseling, crisis intervention, case management, consultation, referral, treatment planning and client education, aftercare planning, and relapse prevention in order to maintain and improve their level of functioning in the community.  Facilitate education/support and therapy groups as deemed appropriate.  Assess and evaluate all clients on an ongoing basis.  Develop, design and implement treatment goals/plan with clients.  Preference to experience with electronic health records. 

Education and Licensing Requirements: Master’s degree in a human service-related field required.  Masters Level Licensure required (LMHC, LCSW, LCDP, CADC, LICSW, or other).  Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and insurance.

ACT Master’s Level Clinician/Assistant Team Manager  (Full Time)
Location: Woonsocket, RI

Currently seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Team Leader for our ACT Team. This position shares in a leadership role managing a multi-disciplinary team that includes case managers, specialists, nurses and clinicians. Co-Leads in the development of comprehensive health service plans, participates in the daily organizational and treatment /service planning meetings, and monitors client responses to health management and prevention activities.  Working in collaboration with the team leader, ACT staff and other staff personnel to ensure the clinical and administrative duties of the team promote effective treatment to clients. 

 

Additional duties include providing counseling and case management services to psychiatrically disabled adults and their families in order to maintain and improve their level of functioning in the community. 

 

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED: 

 

· Master’s degree in a human service-related field required. 

· Licensed or working towards licensure (i.e., LCSW/LICSW, LMHC, LCDP) 

· Two years of experience in a community mental health center preferred.

Our Foster Care Visitation Center is seeking a qualified Administrative Assistant to work with the Director of Child Welfare to assure successful implementation of administrative requirements related to the programs.  Must be an energetic self-starter that possesses strong people skills, schedule flexibility, the ability to multi-task and be capable of working independently in a fast-paced office setting.  

Process and complete work according to established formats and procedures, meet deadlines, and use creativity for various projects and form design.  Accurately file documents and manage database. Screen applicants for open positions throughout the department and help to facilitate interviewing and onboarding process including completing reference checks.  Work with other department staff to support program in data entry, reporting needs, and create tracking systems as identified.  Support the department with basic office functions, such as copying, filing, email correspondence, preparing documents for meetings, setting appointments, and other clerical duties as requested.  

Staff would also assist with transportation of youth to and from the visitation center.  Must have a valid driver’s license and active insurance.

This new Registered Apprenticeship will allow you to ‘earn while you learn’ – you will be working at a full-time job and getting free training at the same time, setting you up for long-term success in the growing human services field. This structured approach to employment will provide you with the knowledge, skills, and supports to successfully begin a rewarding career helping people live better lives.

 

What is my commitment?

This is a job – not just training. You will need to commit to the following: 1) 30 hours/week of employment, advancing to 40 hours/week post-CHW training (1st or 2nd shift); 2) regular attendance at the Community Health Worker certificate training classes; and 3) a minimum of a one-year commitment to the job. All Registered Apprentices will comply with agency job requirements and expectations.

Responsible for collecting and analyzing data. Behavioral Health Worker- ASU  (Full Time)
Location: Providence,RI

If you are interested in gaining experience working in the mental health and substance abuse field we have the perfect position for you! Our Acute Stabilization Unit in Providence is looking for a candidate to work as a Behavioral Health Worker/CNA.  This is a 3 day work week, 36 hour position. The unit works from a trauma informed care practice model. Our program has qualified staff that are trained to realize the widespread impact of trauma, recognize signs/symptoms, respond with knowledge, and seek to resist re-traumatization. You would be responsible for ensuring patient safety, demonstrating professional behavior, and keeping established rules/protocols while maintaining patient dignity. As the Behavioral Health Worker/ CNA you will also be responsible for assisting in treatment groups and activities on the unit.

You would be exchanging pertinent client information to team members and working under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and Program Manager. Must have excellent written and communication skills and the ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment. Being safety focused, detail oriented, and the ability to respond to emergencies or crises is an important aspect of this position.

 

Education/Licensing Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required.  Associate's degree in Human Services or attending school in a Human Services discipline. Mobile Clinician – BHLink, Per Diem

 

BHLink is looking for a highly motivated and outgoing individual to join our Mobile Crisis Assessment Stabilization Team (MCAST) as a Per Diem Mobile Clinician.  BHLink is a 24/7 behavioral health crisis and triage center which provides individuals who are 18 and older with an array of services including crisis assessments, referrals to additional resources, and coordination of care with outside providers.

The MCAST model is centered on community outreach and assessment facilitated by a mobile team which includes a Masters Level Clinician and an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).

 

Education and Licensing Requirements:

Applicant must have a master’s degree in the human service field with at least 1 year of experience working within a behavioral health, inpatient, or acute care setting.  Knowledge of trauma informed care is a plus.

Per Diem requirements include a minimum of one scheduled shift per week and a maximum of 29 hours per week.  This position is in need of an individual who is available to work daytime/early evening hours during the week.  Weekends are not mandatory!

The Behavioral Health Link is a 24/7 behavioral health crisis and triage center which provides Rhode Islander's with immediate assessment and referral services. The program is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team which consists of RN's, Psychiatry, master's level counselors, case managers, peer specialists and phone screeners. The program also operates a 24/7 suicide hotline as well. The mobile crisis unit is a program transit van which is available to crisis center staff to provide community home visits when needed.

Education and Licensing Requirements: Associate degree preferred, but will interview HS graduates with relevant experience.

Clinician - Children's Behavioral Health Emergency Services   (Full Time)
Location: Woonsocket, RI

CCA is seeking a qualified and motivated candidate for their Child Emergency Services Clinician position within their Children's Behavioral Health Team. You will work to protect the safety, health and welfare of residents in the program while promoting their independence, dignity and individuality.  Must communicate effectively to assist clients in performing Activities of Daily Living, work simultaneously on several tasks at one time, and be able to communicate with outside providers.

Education and Licensing Requirements:  Current certification to practice as a medication aide in Rhode Island and current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Two years’ experience as a Certified Medication Aide and Nursing Assistant preferred. Complete a BCI with no disqualifying information.

Direct Service Workers-Tappan Street Project- Phase 1  (Per Diem)

CCA is seeking staff for a program that provides temporary shelter for youth involved with DCYF. Join a committed team of professionals!  FCCP works with families who have a child with behavior issues or diagnosis, where the family is not sure how to get help.  Other families are eligible if they are at-risk for involvement with the Department.  All families are in need of assistance in navigating services or community resources that may be available to help their family and utilizing family and natural supports to overcome barriers.  The goal of FCCP is to strengthen families in becoming more self-sufficient.

The Care Coordinator is a navigator with the family, working with families in their home and in the community, collaborating with natural supports and other service providers to assist the family in identifying their needs and goals.  Must be able to address crisis issues & help to stabilize families, as well as safety-planning when needed, as well as ongoing monitoring for child safety and risk factors.  The FCCP is strength based and family driven, with the Care Coordinator conducting a strengths-based, culturally competent family needs assessment.  The ongoing work is to help the family to meet their goals while increasing their protective capacity with their children, so the children can remain with their parents.

The Care Coordinator will also meet the requirements of documentation for client records and conduct other assessment tools with the family.  The Care Coordinator will participate in Wraparound and other required trainings and become wrap certified within one year of employment.

Education/Licensing Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services field required.  Bilingual candidates encouraged!  Home visiting experience preferred.

The Housing Support Coordinator (Housing Navigator) is a position that will serve as a connection point for two different programs at CCA.  [The Family support center serves low-income residents in with basic needs and services while the FCCP team is a family preservation program designed to assist families with children to connect to needed community resources and services.]   This position will work closely with both programs, assisting families presenting with housing needs.   

The Housing Support Coordinator (HSC) will work with both teams and assist families as assigned.  This position requires data entry and organization, family interviewing skills, and care coordination.  The HSC Provides education to families regarding application for housing resources in the state and helps to problem solve and prioritize tasks.   

The Successful Candidate will collaborate with statewide FCCP Housing Navigators and Housing systems regarding specific vulnerable families and advocate for needed services.

Relief Residential Treatment Workers  (Per Diem)
Location: Various - Rhode Island

Seeking to enhance our pool of per diem workers at various locations throughout Northern RI. We are able to offer FLEXIBLE hours during 1st, 2nd, 3rd and weekend shifts (this includes mother's hours). First and second shifts are $13 and $14 per hour, depending on location. Location: Johnston, RI

Jellison House, our men’s residential program in Johnston, RI is looking for a Residential Treatment Worker to work on a full time basis. The 90 day men's residential substance abuse treatment program works closely with the courts, probation and parole officers and other treatment providers to coordinate continuity of care.  This program will also provide basic living skills, relapse prevention and daily psycho-educational groups.  Mainly the Treatment Worker will provide ongoing support services and/or crisis intervention, assist clients in medication monitoring/education and facilitating activities with clients, which enhance the quality of living within the residence. Mental health and/or substance abuse experience is preferred.  Provide transportation to clients as needed.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic registered nurse who enjoys working in a fast paced and challenging environment. While this position has some administrative responsibilities, the bulk of the work will be in providing clinical services. Highly competitive hourly rate, with excellent benefit package. Administrative duties to include providing supervision to other RN staff, as well as to assist the program manager in overseeing overall unit functioning. Serenity Peer Recovery Specialist- Paid Intern  (Internship)

The Serenity Center is a thriving Recovery Community Center, providing recovery supports to individuals in the Northern RI area.  We are offering paid internships of 20 hours per month to individuals who have completed the Certification for Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) training.  Not only will you earn direct service hours, you will receive both individual and group peer supervisions to assist you in developing as a professional.  You will work one-on-one with clients to provide peer support, learn how to facilitate groups and participate in planning and delivering sober social events.  This is an immersive experience offering the opportunity to learn the day-to-day operations of a recovery center.

Must have reliable, insured transportation in order to transport clients and to perform home visits. 

 

Education and Licensing Requirements: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Psych, Social Work, or other human services related field. AA degree or equivalent education level in the human service field required. Minimum of 1 year experience in community mental health preferred. The Visitation Center serves families whose children are in the care of the Department of Children, Youth and Families due to substance use or mental health concerns. Families are able to have supervised visits in a home-like setting while receiving support in their recovery. The Transportation Specialist provides transportation to and from supervised visits with biological families for children in out-of-home placements. This position is also responsible for ensuring the safety of passengers at all times, including documentation for state, program, and agency standards and the implementation of individualized transportation plans. You would be responsible for ensuring patient safety, demonstrating professional behavior, and keeping established rules/protocols while maintaining patient dignity. Treatment Assistant/ CNA will also be responsible for assisting in treatment groups and activities on the unit.

You would be exchanging pertinent client information to team members and working under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and the Program Manager. Candidate must have excellent written and communication skills, ability to handle crises, and ability to multi-task while working in a fast paced environment. Being safety focused, having attention to detail, and being able to respond to emergencies or crisis is an important aspect of this position.

Education/Licensing Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required.  Associate's degree in Human Services or attending school in a Human Services discipline. Certified Nursing Assistants with the right experience in Human Services and current CNA students or college students are encouraged to apply!
