City Market’s Application Process

 

Due to the high volume of applications City Market receives, we are unable to consider or respond to applicants who do not follow the instructions as outlined below. Please be sure to read through this section completely before beginning the application. 

 

Please review the following open positions, and apply to the one you feel would best match your qualifications. Once you begin your application, you’ll be able to indicate any other open positions for which you'd like to be considered. There will also be an opportunity to upload a resume and cover letter (.doc, .rtf, and .pdf files only, please). If you choose to upload a resume, please note that you must still fill out the portion of the application that asks for your three most recent employers, dates of employment, and reasons for leaving. Writing "Please see resume" or leaving the area blank is not acceptable, and will take your application out of consideration. Additionally, do not use quotation marks (") in the name field. This will cause your application to be deleted without review.

 

When you complete your application and submit it, we will review it and determine whether your qualifications would be a good fit for the position. Due to the high level of interest in our open positions, we regret that not every applicant can be contacted. Please note that if you see a position posted in our store's entry-way, and not on our website, it means we are no longer accepting applications. We keep applications active for 90 days. If you see a new position posted that you would like to apply for, and it has been less than 90 days since you've last applied, please complete the "Applicant Check-in Form" at the bottom of the page. This will allow you to show your interest in the new position(s) without having to fill out a new application. Completing only this form BEFORE filling out a full application will not enter you into consideration for employment at City Market. Filling out multiple full applications will not increase the likelihood of being contacted for an interview.

We interview and fill positions as soon as they are posted; please only apply to a position if you're able to begin work within three weeks of the date you're applying. Applicants unable to start work for more than a month after their application date will not be considered.  

Unless specifically noted, all part-time positions require between 24 and 32 hours per week. If you cannot work this many hours, please only apply to positions that indicate they are for LESS than 20 hours/week.
