Account Executive-Exhibit/Advertising/Business Membership Sales  (Temporary)
Location: Washington DC

This is a temporary position. Under the leadership of the Vice President of Business Development, the Account Executive – Exhibit/Advertising/Business Membership Sales will be responsible for maintaining relationships and favorable contacts with current and potential advertising and exhibiting accounts. Targets potential clients and develops relationships in order to acquire new accounts. Stays goal and results oriented in order to meet or exceed current sales level.

The position requires at least 5 years of sales experience and/or phone sales with a proven track record achieving high volume sales quotas; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior association experience preferred. Must have excellent interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills to interact effectively with all levels of staff, members and the public. Must have the ability to conduct cold calls to prospective and existing Business Associates with good follow up skills. Proven phone sales record required. Must demonstrate attention to detail, excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, and a team orientation. Computer proficiency required including experience using MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, and Access). Experience with SalesForce and Expocad a plus.

Ability to sit for long periods of time during continuous use of telephone and/or computer. Ability to be mobile at Annual Meeting and Leadership Summit (and other meetings as designated). May require standing for prolonged periods of time during meetings and conferences.
