As such, we are looking for an experienced developer that can demonstrate an understanding of software design principles and not just knowledge of frameworks and APIs. Server Engineer (Open) - Huntsville, AL
Server Engineer will work with the Vulnerability Management team to coordinate the mitigation of all IAVA or STIG related findings for servers throughout the MDA enterprise. The Server Administrator will assist with daily operations of the MDA Enterprise Citrix environment.
The server administrator will be responsible for patch deployments using Systems Management Server 2003/Systems Center Configuration Manager/WSUS and also some application deployments. The Server administrator will handle the daily issues related to a Windows server environment including but not limited to profile corruption, folder permissions, Windows cluster issues, backup related issues, etc. Other duties will include the monitoring of servers using HPOV and contacting the vendor to address any hardware related issues. Position will also involve some Unix/Linux administration. Primary duties will also include but are not limited to completing daily battle-rhythm checks on various member servers across the MDA enterprise.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related technical field and 8 years of experience. A+ and Security+ certifications required. Previous work experience as a System Administrator, Citrix Administrator or in other related technical fields. Hands-on experience with Systems Management Server 2003 and/or Systems Center Configuration Manager required. Essential qualifications for a successful candidate include; the ability to quickly adapt to new situations, a strong commitment to a team environment, and the capacity to work unsupervised. Aerospace/Systems Engineer (Open) - Houston - ISS
Aerospace or Systems Engineer to work at the NASA/Johnson Space Center (JSC) in support of NASA’s Human Space Flight Programs. Candidate will support analysis, feasibility assessments and special trade studies of robotic operations and viewing support for the assembly and maintenance of the International Space Station (ISS).
