Production Manager/Supervisor (Full Time) - Dayton, Ohio
Production Manager/Supervisor
Cable & Harness Division
Summary: Directs and coordinates activities concerned with the production of company products, including aerospace and electronic assemblies with a focus on Cable and Harness assemblies. Initiates production control data, which is used for setting schedules and priorities for the associated manufacturing disciplines (Sales, Manufacturing Services, Purchasing, Receiving Inspection, Stockroom, and Quality) Will also interface directly with customer contacts in regards to manufacturing issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare all manufacturing reports, which may include but are not limited to weekly production meeting status, and manpower predictions.
Responsible for all areas of the Cable and Harness division including areas such as production, shipping, testing, stockroom, receiving, and daily/monthly machine maintenance.
Respond and implement corrective action requests.
Formulate and implement manufacturing objectives and policies.
Assist with the annual budgeting process. Monitor and meet or improve the established targets.
Maintain compliance with company polices, safety standards and good housekeeping practices.
Forecast manufacturing labor requirements; develop new layouts, production methods, and material handling procedures.
Work with the Manufacturing Engineer and Quality staff to establish manufacturing methods to obtain quality and efficient production in accordance with prints and specifications.
Analyze product design and recommend design changes, which would reduce manufacturing costs, increase throughput or improve quality.
Assist in the development of requirements for capital equipment, analyze return on investment, investigate available equipment and make recommendations for purchase.
Establish requirements for tooling and fixtures.
Establish manufacturing methods to obtain quality and efficient production in accordance with the prints and specifications
Design, purchase or provide specifications for the purchase or fabrication of tooling and fixtures.
Monitor the function and operation of equipment, tooling, and fixtures to assure efficient and proper use and operation.
Maintain and expediting systems to follow up on critical items.
Assign work, mediate, and discipline, when necessary, all subordinates.
Complete all paperwork for subordinates including but not limited to reviews, status forms, training documentation, and disciplinary action.
Maintain accurate schedules and time recording for all employees by tracking tardies, unexcused, vacation, sick and personal time.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelors Degree from a four year university plus a minimum of five years experience in electronic manufacturing, preferably in the aerospace Cable and Harness industry. Will consider other credentials if complemented with strong aerospace electronics manufacturing experience. Plus a minimum of two years management experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret blueprints, schematics, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram from and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills: Must have a thorough understanding of all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
Other Qualifications: Ability to read process assembly instructions. Ability to work with others in a team environment. Ability to accept direction from superiors. Supervisory Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the Cable and Harness division. Directly supervises non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Manufacturing Engineer (Full Time) - Dayton, OH
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reads and interprets Engineering/Customer drawings, finished prints, specifications, and schematics for proper application to production processes. Review for process improvements (i.e. new product development.)
Has detailed knowledge of component package styles and their relationship to manufacturing processes. Manage part maintenance database and optimizes the selection of components to minimize duplicate part procurements, improve processes, while meeting customer specifications. Participates in Design for Manufacture strategies with our customers.
Plans and prepares manufacturing instructions, routers, processes, and time standards which includes sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations within ERP framework.
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods. May use SPC data to identify processes requiring improvement.
Estimates production times, production staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
Confers with suppliers to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
As assigned: Completes individual project plan schedule for implementation of new equipment or software that includes training and process specification completion. Completes hands-on implementation with production personnel.
Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
Keeps abreast of new manufacturing technologies and applies them to our existing manufacturing processes.
Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
Provides material and labor estimates, factored by learning curve for bids and proposals.
Provide concepts for design or completes design of production tooling for arbor presses (eyelets, rivets), component prep (special lead forms) and conformal coating (masking tools).

Determine if we can respond to the RFQ.
