Lab Analyst 2010-004 (Full-Time, Hourly) - Augusta


The Lab Analyst is responsible for the proper testing and disposition of raw material, in-process and finished product according to all applicable porcedures and guidelines.  Performs all aspects of test procedures used, including preparation of solutions and samples, maintenance and calibration of analytical instruments, and interpretation of statistical analyses/results.  Prepares and revises test procedures for the laboratory and verifies compliance with compendial methods and regulatory guidelines.  Coordinates tasks with other lab personnel in the QC laboratory.

The successful Lab Analyst candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, or Biology; or
  • Minimum 3 years equivalent work experience as a lab technician.

    Preferred Candidates will have the following:
  • Minimum requirements plus
  • 5+ years of experience as a lab technician;
  • preferably in a chemical manufacturing industry (pharmaceutical or food preferred.)

    GMP & Validation Coordinator (Full-time) - Augusta, GA

    Prayon has an immediate opportunity for a GMP & Validation Coordinator to join the US team in Augusta, Georgia. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    Coordination, development and implementation of a Food Safety Program (HACCP), that ensures objectives meet or exceed regulatory requirements.

    Define and coordinate the validation activities (process, equipment, cleaning, etc.) by initiating the procedures and protocols for validation and revalidation.

    Manage the validation process.

    Serve as an internal auditor and assists with the management of the ISO systems.

    Management of the quality investigation programs and track for thorough completion.

    Assist in performing quality functions such as technical data sheet modifications, completing of customer questionnaires and others as deemed necessary.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Associate degree in Engineering (Food, Mechanical/Process, Cereal Science, Food Science & Technology or a related field)
    • Experience in a manufacturing facility (preferably food [powder or grain]; high purity chemical or pharmaceutical).
    • Strong professional experience in food manufacturing processes, cGMPSs, HACCP, ISO, food safety, validation and quality systems.
    • Understanding of quality standards expected by the FDA, State Departments of Agriculture and international bodies.
    • Ability to perform defect tracking, resolution, prevention, implementation of corrective actions and risk analysis.
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Conducting audits of unit operations.
    • Solid interpersonal communication skills - both verbal and written.
    • Ability to interact in a positive and professional manner with plant personnel at all levels, as well as, in groups (team player).
    • Effective organization, planning and time-management skills.


    Preferred Qualifications:

    Minimum qualifications and experience in statistical process control and understanding of ISO 22000 and quality standards expected by the AAFCO, USDA and international bodies.
